As a little girl, I used to transform old newspaper into beautiful floral designs with a pair of scissors. It has been a long time, 15+ years, since I last made it a point to develop new concepts and designs with this hobby. Couple paper cuts here and there, sure; but a commitment to making and developing new art from crafty little paper is my new endeavor as I wiggle my rusty fingers to start making a few small paper cuts every day.
My goal is to post at least one new cut work everyday and write a few words about what inspired me to make it. The technique I used – did I draw the form or was it free hand, what tools I used – scissors or blade cutter, any intermittent photos/steps to arrive at the final cut work product. I will also add an image of the final product – greeting card, book cover, book mark etc. after the design has been committed to a particular form.
